I just got back from New York after running a 2-days executive AI training "bootcamp" for an enterprise marketing leadership team, and, let me tell you, it was one of the most energizing, fun, and eye-opening experiences I’ve had in this business so far.
We spent two days diving deep into AI fundamentals, prompting, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot workflows, and tools like MidJourney, Runway, Gamma, Canva, and even Replit. The goal was to equip the leaders and their teams with practical, immediately usable skills that they could take back to their desks. For them to leave inspired by the hands-on approach and be able to better direct and strategize based on what real tools can and can't do.
Here’s what stood out most:
Employees loved it. You could feel the excitement in the room even before we even started. People compared it to “discovering a new toy,” but one that directly ties into their real campaigns and KPIs. It reinforced what I've been preaching for the last year: employees WANT, need and expect and ENJOY AI training.
Executives leaned in. Leaders were able to see AI not as a threat, but as a way to reduce vendor reliance, speed up go-to-market timelines, and scale ideas that once took weeks into outputs generated in hours or minutes.
Hands-on matters. Instead of just theory, the team actually built working prototypes: from campaign briefs and moodboards to video assets and full websites. And they let their creativity flow!
The showcase tied it all together. At the end, each participant presented their prototype, and I was blown away by the use cases everyone was able to develop! But more importantly, everyone left inspired and eager for more!
Why does this matter? Because AI is no longer optional for marketing teams. Or any teams. Those that adopt AI fluency today will lead the conversation tomorrow across creative, product, and customer engagement. The secret here: it’s not really about tools: the tools are the just the conduit for the mindset shift.
If you’re an executive, you can’t afford to let your teams “dabble” in AI on the sidelines. I'm serious. Expecting self training or anything other than a truly hands-on approach will work, you're wrong. Structured, immersive executive AI training creates shared language, shared confidence, and shared momentum. That’s how companies become AI-ready organizations.
And the best part? It was genuinely fun! The team left inspired, energized, and ready to experiment.
Curious how an ai training bootcamp like this could look inside your organization? Bring your team up to speed with an AI Bootcamp they will absolutely love.
